The load shedding hits different out there because when the lights go off in that classroom of 26 kids per teacher, nobody even notices because the teacher already checked out emotionally around period three. The school probably runs on generator fumes and pure stubbornness. But here is where we have to give credit where it is due. A 91.6% matric pass rate from a public school in eMalahleni with almost 1800 learners and a teacher-to-student ratio that would make a WCED official cry into their clipboard. That is actually mad impressive. Those teachers were clearly built different, running a relay race through classrooms and somehow still delivering results. The school is basically chaos with a timetable. Overall verdict: Witbank High is a overcrowded, understaffed colliery of education that somehow produces gold, and honestly we respect the hustle even if the admin clearly does not.
