Okay so first of all, Tyger Valley College is in Pretoria. Not in Tyger Valley. Not near a valley. Not near a tiger. Bra, you took the name of a shopping mall in Bellville and drove it 1,400 kilometres east and planted it in Lynwood like nobody would notice. That is not a school name, that is a GPS error. Now let's talk about these fees because I need a moment. Grade R is R88,204. Your child is FIVE YEARS OLD. They are eating glue and crying at naptime and you are paying eighty-eight thousand rand for that privilege. By the time your kid gets to Grade 12 at R132,240 a year, you have basically funded a small municipality. The school's own description is so dry it reads like a lease agreement. "It does not offer boarding facilities." Bra, for R132k a year I want to LIVE there. I want a flatscreen and a stoep and a braai area included. And the description, shame, they really wrote "it charges school fees" like that is a personality. That is the whole sentence. They could have said "we shape futures" or "we unlock potential" but no. "We charge fees." Honest king behaviour, I will give them that, because those fees are the most interesting thing about that description. Overall verdict: Tyger Valley College will give your kid a solid IEB education and an empty family bank account, but at least the Pretoria heat will keep them humble.
