About
I believe the classroom is a “location of possibility” where every learner can develop agency, skills, and hope for the future. My approach is student-centered, practical, and inclusive. I link theory directly to real-world contexts, especially in TVET, because learners engage best when they see how knowledge applies to the workplace. I use universal design for learning, scaffolding, and differentiated instruction so that students with different backgrounds, languages, and abilities can all access the content and succeed. I am a teacher who combines subject expertise with deep care for learner growth. I understand the realities of South African TVET students — poverty, unemployment, stigma — and I actively work against those barriers. I turn content into confidence. Learners leave my class not just knowing the four functions of management, but understanding how to plan, organise, lead, and control their own futures. I teach with Ubuntu: your success is my success, and the success of the community.
