R61,161 and the description they gave themselves is "it charges school fees and does not offer boarding facilities." That is it. That is the whole pitch. My guy wrote a Wikipedia stub about himself and called it a day. No vision, no values, no "we shape the leaders of tomorrow." Just "yes we take your money, no you cannot sleep here." Honestly respect the honesty but maybe try a little harder, shem. And this is a PUBLIC school, remember. Public. As in, theoretically for everyone. Sixty-one grand in the Southern Suburbs, which is basically the one part of Cape Town where people already think their school run is a personality. You are fetching your kid from a public primary school in a Fortuner while the rest of us are still recovering from load shedding. Seventeen kids per teacher, which sounds fine until you remember those teachers are earning normal government salaries while the school is collecting Sandton money. Eight hundred and thirty-seven kids rattling around the Southern Suburbs, each one paying the same fee whether they are in Grade R eating glue or in Grade 7 pretending they are ready for high school. At least scale it, come on. Overall verdict: The most expensive "we did not really try with the description" school in the Southern Suburbs, but honestly, with that mountain view and those fees, your kid is probably going to be fine.
