But no, here you are in Constantia, thriving, as the school's own description says, "in school and the world beyond." The world beyond. Like they are preparing you for space. With an 11:1 learner to educator ratio, there is basically a teacher standing next to you watching you breathe. And that description, eish. "Top-performing." "Academic excellence." "Skills and knowledge they need to thrive." They typed that with both hands and a straight face. Every private school in the Southern Suburbs has the exact same paragraph saved somewhere. Just change the name at the top and send. What makes it funnier is there is no faith ethos here, no religion, nothing. Just pure, secular, unapologetic expensive. They did not even pretend to throw God in there to justify the fees. Respect, almost. Over a thousand learners from age one to eighteen, all in one place, all in Constantia, all very well supervised. The parents drive in on their way to Steenberg or wherever and wave from the SUV window.
