That is not a school, that is a family reunion that got a little out of hand and someone decided to charge fees. Your entire school fits in one taxi with room left over for the cooler box. Seven teachers for 44 learners, which works out to a ratio of 6.3 to 1. Bra, your teacher basically knows what you had for breakfast. You cannot hide. You cannot pretend you were absent. There is no back row. There IS no row. Your teacher is basically your parent at this point, just one you also have to do homework for. And Protea Heights, okay. Not Constantia, not Bishops territory, not the kind of school where the newsletter comes in an envelope with a wax seal. Just a little independent spot in Protea Heights with 44 children, 7 teachers, and a name that sounds like something you would find written in a leather journal at a wine estate. The ambition of the name versus the size of the school is genuinely sending me. Nota Bene. Note well. What must we note well, exactly? That there are 44 of you? Overall verdict: it is basically a very expensive homeschool with a parking lot, but honestly with a 6 to 1 ratio your kid probably actually learned something, so fair play.
