Bra, that is not a classroom, that is a taxi. The teacher is the driver, you are hanging out the door, and there is still someone shouting "een plek" even though there is clearly no plek. Your teacher does not know your name, your teacher knows your row number. And look, Bloekombos is a solid Northern Suburbs school, we are not here to disrespect the North. But let us be honest, when load shedding hits and there are 2129 kids in the dark, that teacher with 38 students per class is not finding anyone. You could skip an entire period and just blend into the crowd like you are at a Kaizer Chiefs game. Nobody is checking the register when the register has 38 names on it. But here is the thing though, 84% matric pass rate at a no-fee school with those conditions? That is actually not a joke, that is impressive. Those learners and teachers are putting in serious work with what they have got, and that deserves genuine respect. Overall verdict: Bloekombos hits different, overcrowded, underfunded, and somehow still clearing 84%, which means the kids here are built different and the school deserves way more resources than it is getting.
