"It is a no-fee school with no boarding facilities." Bru. That is not a description, that is a man shrugging. No fees, no boarding, no frills, no lies. Respect for the honesty though, because most schools would have written something about "nurturing future leaders" and "holistic excellence" while the tuck shop sells stale chips. 71 learners. 4 teachers. In Klein Mier. In the Northern Cape. Where the Mier area is basically the Kalahari's quieter cousin who stayed home. Those 4 teachers are doing EVERYTHING. One of them is definitely the principal, the sports coach, the disciplinary committee, and the guy who fixes the photocopier. At a 17.8 to 1 ratio you would think that sounds manageable, until you remember there are only 4 of them carrying this whole school on their backs like a braai grid with no legs. But listen, Klein Mier is out there in the Northern Cape heat, no fees, no fuss, just getting the job done with 4 legends and 71 kids who probably know every single person in the school by name, nickname, and family drama. You cannot say that about Bishops or Rondebosch where you can get lost between Maths and Geography. Overall verdict: Klein Mier Primêre Skool is basically a family with homework, and honestly those 4 teachers deserve a Bells and a long weekend.
