Okay so B.A. Seobi Secondary in Ikageng, Potchefstroom. Extension 7. Not Extension 1, not Extension 2, Extension SEVEN. They kept building and building and said you know what, let's put the school at the very end where Google Maps gives up and your data runs out. You are arriving at school on a Monday morning already defeated because the directions alone took your whole will to live. Now listen, 43 educators handling 1262 kids. That is a 29 to 1 ratio. One teacher, twenty-nine teenagers, no fees, North West sun beating down, and probably load shedding twice before lunch. That teacher is not teaching, that teacher is surviving. That is not a classroom, that is a hostage situation with a whiteboard. The tuck shop auntie has more one-on-one time with learners than the actual staff do. BUT. And this is a massive but. 99.6% matric pass rate. In Ikageng. With those numbers. With that ratio. Free of charge. While private schools in Constantia are charging R50k a year and still crying about their results, B.A. Seobi is out here doing it with nothing and nearly hitting a perfect score. That is not a school, that is a cheat code. Whoever B.A. Seobi was, the ancestors are clearly still showing up for these kids every single exam season. Overall verdict: Chaotic, overcrowded, located somewhere past the edge of the map, but somehow producing results that would embarrass schools twice the price, and that deserves serious respect.
