One of those eight is probably the principal, one is definitely doing admin, one is on sick leave since 2019, so realistically you have got about five humans trying to hold the whole thing together. Jy weet hoe is dit. That 37 to 1 ratio means your teacher did not even know your name, they just pointed at you and said "yes, you, the one in the blue jersey." And yet, 81.6% matric pass rate. With EIGHT teachers and nearly 300 learners in Mogwase. That is actually genuinely impressive, we need to be honest. Those kids and those five fully present teachers were not playing around. No fancy labs, no swimming pool, no R50,000 a year fees, just people showing up and getting it done in the North West heat. This is a no-fee school, so there is no tuck shop selling overpriced chicken pies to laugh at, no school fees to roast, just a government that handed this community eight teachers and said "sharp, good luck." The real roast here is not the school. The school is fighting. The roast is whoever decided that 37 kids per teacher was acceptable and went home feeling fine about it. Overall verdict: built on almost nothing, running on pure stubbornness, and somehow producing results that schools with five times the resources should be embarrassed about.
