Ramotshinyadi (Tzaneen)

Fifteen teachers. Six hundred and thirteen kids. In Tzaneen. Bra, that is not a school, that is a taxi rank with a chalkboard. One teacher looking after 41 learners while also trying to remember all their names, mark their books, keep order, and probably also fix the photocopier because the budget ran out in March. That ratio is not a staffing plan, that is a hostage situation. And the description, listen to this, they actually wrote "offers the National Senior Certificate curriculum under the CAPS framework" like that is a flex. Every school in South Africa does that, my friend. That is like a restaurant putting on their menu "we serve food that you eat with your mouth." The bar is on the floor and they are still pointing at it proudly. But here is the thing, 81.3% matric pass rate with 41 kids per teacher, no fees, deep in Limpopo, running on what I can only assume is dedication, mielie pap, and the sheer stubbornness of educators who did not become teachers for the money because there clearly is no money. That pass rate is genuinely earned the hard way and anyone who came out of there with a certificate should wear it like a medal. Overall verdict: A school that is stretched so thin you can see through it, but somehow still producing results, which means the teachers are either superhuman or just really, really tired, probably both.
