Mbhedlhe-Mabasa High School in Malamulele, Limpopo. Even saying the name twice is a workout, bro. But you know what, the school showed up, Limpopo showed up, and 85.9% of matrics walked out with a pass. That is not nothing. That is actually decent. Now let us talk about this ratio though. 16 educators for 470 learners. Sixteen. That one teacher who teaches Maths and Life Orientation and probably also fixes the gate on Fridays is carrying this whole school on their back like a Shoprite bag full of cabbages. Sir is not a teacher, sir is a department. The man wakes up, teaches three subjects, mediates a fight behind the toilets, and still goes home and marks papers by candlelight because Malamulele load shedding does not care about your deadlines. And it is a no-fee school, meaning the government is funding this whole operation, which means every rand has to stretch like a school tracksuit on a Grade 12 who has been eating sadza since Grade 8. No tuck shop drama about R5 pies here. These kids are focused. No fees, limited teachers, Limpopo heat that would make a Cape Town kid cry into their Woolies lunch, and they still came out at nearly 86%. That is not a pass rate, that is a statement. Overall verdict: The school sounds like a logistics nightmare but runs like a quiet underdog that slaps you in the face on results day, respect.
