Talifhani, an independent school in Tshituni Tsha Fhasi, Makhado, Limpopo. Private school energy, CAPS curriculum, no boarding, and 20 teachers trying to manage 654 learners. My bru, that is not a school, that is a taxi rank with a timetable. One teacher for every 32.7 kids. Thirty-two point seven. That 0.7 is some poor child who only gets seen on Fridays when the teacher accidentally makes eye contact. And they wrote their own description like they were filling in a government form. "As a fee-paying institution, it does not offer boarding facilities." That is the most nothing sentence ever written about a school. No vision, no mission, no "we develop future leaders." Just, we charge money and you sleep at home. Respect for the honesty, I suppose. At least nobody is lying to you about values and excellence while one teacher is somewhere between learner 32 and learner 33 having a quiet breakdown. But listen, 92.3% matric pass rate is actually not a joke. In Limpopo, with those ratios and no fancy infrastructure, that is genuinely impressive. That means those teachers are working like they are running a matric rage on no sleep and somehow passing everyone anyway. The learners must be putting in serious effort too, because nobody is carrying you when your teacher has 32 other kids also waving their hands. Overall verdict: Looks rough on paper but hits harder than it should, like a Limpopo summer, underestimated until it is already on top of you.
