Late applications are usually taken from October to December for places that have not filled. Independent schools sit outside all of it and run their own admissions on their own timeline: one to three years ahead for most, and four to seven years ahead for the handful of premium boarding schools.
What the fees actually come to.
The published fee is not the number you pay. Fee-paying public schools in the middle tiers run R12,000 to R30,000 a year, and the former Model C schools at the top reach R30,000 to R60,000.
