Chartford. Avonford. Someone in the town planning office was clearly working with a very limited vocabulary, and honestly, same energy as the person who named this school. Now listen, 706 learners and only 26 teachers. That is a 27 to 1 ratio, which means your teacher is basically a taxi driver, just cramming everyone in and hoping for the best. "Sir can you explain question 3?" Sir cannot hear you, sir is managing 26 other people who also do not understand question 3. The classroom must feel like Noord Street taxi rank on a Monday morning, just louder and with more past papers. BUT. And this is a big but. 100% matric pass rate. One hundred percent. Every single learner who sat that exam walked out with a pass. In KZN. With 27 kids per teacher. That is not a school, that is a miracle with a timetable. The teachers at Avonford are clearly carrying this whole operation on their backs like they are training for the Comrades Marathon, except the finish line is the Department of Education portal and it never actually loads. Overall verdict: Avonford looks like it was named by someone with a thesaurus and only one entry, but those results are genuinely hard to argue with, well done to the staff who clearly did not sleep.
