But okay, let's talk about this school in Germiston, which, bless your heart, is not exactly the Constantia of Gauteng. Germiston is the kind of place where the GPS says "you have arrived" and you look around and go, "have I though?" Now 714 learners, 34 teachers. That is 21 kids per educator, which means your teacher definitely knew your name but only because you were the one always causing problems. The school's own description of itself is so dry it makes Eskom's excuse emails look creative. They wrote "it is a fee-paying institution with no boarding facilities" like they were filing a tax return. No vibe, no mission statement, no "we build future leaders," nothing. Just, we exist, we charge money, and nobody sleeps here. Respect for the honesty, I suppose. But that 91.7% matric pass rate? Okay, Goudrif, we see you. For a public school in Germiston with 21 kids per teacher and a description written by someone who has clearly given up on life, that is genuinely solid. The kids showed up and they delivered, even if the marketing department clearly did not. Overall verdict: Goudrif looks boring on paper but passes matric like it owes somebody money, which, given the fees, it probably does.
